Several researches have been carried out to predict the intention to pay zakat using the factors introduced by the Theory of Planned Behavior – developed by Ajzen & Fishbein (1980). Meanwhile, an addition of predicting past behavior factor on the intention to pay zakat has not been found in previous researches. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control and past behavior towards the intention of traders in the Lhokseumawe city to pay zakat commercial. The revised Theory of Planned Behavior was used in the research. This study aims to predict the intention of zakat payers. A total of 2,432 traders as the population of the research was identified and 150 of them were chosen as respondents determined using the purposive sampling technique. Using multiple linear regression models, it has found that the subjective norms, perceived behavioral control and past behavior partially have positive and significant influence towards the intention to pay zakat commercial. It also finds that past behavior variable has the most dominant impact towards the intention of zakat payers, while attitude has the least impact towards the intention. Finally, there is a simultaneously positive and significant influence towards the intention to pay zakat commercial

Social media technologies are increasingly being adopted to support knowledge sharing and collaboration in both the private and public sectors. It has therefore become essential to develop policies guiding the use of social media within organisations. The need to protect an organisation’s interests by guiding employees’ appropriate use of social media is a key issue for senior managers. This issue has to be balanced against the benefits of empowering employees to make use of social media in flexible, innovative ways. This paper highlights the major components of a social media policy, based on the Social Media and Organisation Policy (SOMEOP) Framework. A method is proposed to enable organisations to effectively evaluate each of the components using a rating system. The framework and rating tool can be used to improve the effectiveness of policy development. A preliminary validation of the instrument indicated that the rating system can assist users with identifying and understanding policy strengths and weaknesses

With our daily busy schedules, the home is one of the main locations where we could unwind and relax. With the implementation of an effective smart home system, the relaxation time could begin as soon as the homeowners return home. The Eye 2H is an automated smart home control system that detects the homeowners emotion via facial detection. The system is capable of boosting the mood and emotion of the residents by controlling the electronic lighting and equipment in their home. By adjusting, the lighting conditions automatically could create a welcoming effect for the homeowners.Besides that, the system is also able to reduce energy usage via sensors, which would detect human presence in specific rooms. As such, the implementation of the system require a number of processes along with initial testing to ensure a smooth system operation.Based on our testing and evaluation, the proposed system is able to detect both facial and emotion in an effective manner

The ageing community may keep resuming their service even after the pension, which was influenced by their previous work environment. One of the occupations that elderly individuals could engage in is taxi drivers. Feelings of discomfort are generated among drivers when there is a mismatch between the product/device and the user. This study's principal objective is to assess the mismatch between seat drivers and anthropometric measurements among elderly taxi drivers to improve their work environment in term of safety and health. A cross-sectional study was led utilizing a self-administered survey instrument that involved four taxi cars from Proton products on seat measurement. Secondary data applied to obtain anthropometric measurements of elderly taxi drivers, which involved 56 elderly (male) drivers. The anthropometric parameters and seat parameters measured. The mismatch can be determined at any value over 95% or less than 80% of the respondents' total number. The measurements between 80% to 99% are classified as matched to the reference value of the respondents. The cushion width based on the proposed size at 95th percentiles show as much as 91.8% is matched to the width of the hip of the elderly taxi drivers. The backrest width which refers to the proposed measurement at 95th percentiles matched 94.0% the length of elderly taxi drivers' shoulder. The proposed cushion length measurement with knee-length to the buttock of elderly taxi drivers at a 5th percentile is 92.8% matched. The study provides a concrete foundation to identify a mismatch between current seat size with anthropometric of elderly taxi drivers that cause injury or pain due to discomfort while driving in Malaysia. It also helps us initiate the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in health and safety. The baseline data is believed to benefit the automotive industry before the designing process.&nbsp

Autologous chondrocyte-seeded scaffolds have proved to be one of the most promising alternative therapies for articular cartilage defects. However, the chondrocytes have specific nutritional requirements and risk of dedifferentiation during in vitro expansion. Stichopus chloronotus aqueous extract (SCAE) was investigated as a medium supplement for three-dimensional (3D) collagen type I hydrogel scaffold seeded with chondrocytes to determine whether SCAE is capable of maintaining phenotype and sustaining extracellular matrix synthesis and deposition. Human osteoarthritis articular chondrocytes were isolated from the knee joint cartilage of patients underwent total knee replacement surgery. Human osteoarthritis articular chondrocytes were encapsulated in collagen type I hydrogel and cultured in basic medium with 0, 0.1 and 0.2% of SCAE. The chondrocytes in 3D culture were evaluated by means cell morphology and proliferation, quantitative phenotypic expression of collagen type I, II, aggrecan core protein and sox-9. H&E, toluidine blue staining and sulfated glycosaminoglycan (sGAG) production were analyzed after 7 days in culture. Chondrocytes cultured in 3D with various SCAE concentration appeared with polygonal morphology maintaining their chondrocytes characteristic. SCAE supplementation promoted chondrocytes proliferation and the ability of the cells to express gene encoding collagen type I decreased, whereas their ability to express collagen type II, aggrecan core protein and sox9 increased as compared to control. The cartilaginous matrices were positively stained toluidine blue concomitant with higher sGAG accumulation in SCAE-supplemented culture medium. This study shown that SCAE may be beneficial for in vitro development of 3D chondrocytes culture for use in cartilage tissue engineering therapies
